Three orpington chicks have hatched over the past two days; two are now dry (one's still resting in the incubator) and I have included some pictures. :)
I think they're both going to turn out blue in color.
They're big, fat, and quite fluffy. In essence, the little rascals are adorable.
The little one that's still drying off in the bator seems to be the same color as these two---so will probably look exactly the same. I've candled the remaining eggs, because I'm nervous that they're not all going to hatch. I only had eight eggs to start with, and one nearly exploded, and got thrown out.
One looks clear.
Three have hatched.
So that's three more; yesterday was their hatch-date, so it possible that they're just taking their time?
