Ameraucana Chick

Here she is! All dried, and poofy---the little large fowl white ameraucana chick that hatched earlier today.

She's one of the fluffiest chicks I have ever seen, with a big fat muff and beard, and blue legs.

Rico likes his little name-less friend.

I just like them both; you see the color difference in their legs in the picture above?

I'm going to come up with a name for her real soon. :)

Sadly, the second polish chick didn't make it; I'm not positive what was wrong, but it did seem weak, and I wasn't super surprised that the little bugger couldn't pull through. I am a bit disappointed though.

Tomorrow, the two Survivor lav-ameraucana bantam eggs are due to hatch---hopefully they both will. :) And also tomorrow, the Orpington eggs are going into lock-down.
