It's the weekend.
Saturday.
And I think it's time to catch up a bit.
Our cousins from Arkansas came in Monday, and left yesterday.
We had a blast.
My cousin Bryan, who has been on his mission -gone for I think (I may need to edit this later) 2 years -came down too.
My cousin Megan also came down from Washington with her daughter and husband.
Their daughter isn't in the picture, but there is Megan and her husband, who's name is Brian.
Megan is expecting a boy soon, too. Congrats to them!
And that's Bryan -my cousin, who's partway in the picture.
Cousin Bryan!
Bryan brought home some special shirts and dresses for the grown-ups and his family. He brought me and my sisters home some neat little bracelets -thanks Bryan! :)
My Grandma and Grandpa. We went to their house to see everybody.
Cousin Ethan. He was happy to see us, I think. He played and played with Willow, Rose, and Indy.
And Zeb.
Zeb enjoyed pushing him around in that car.
My Mom in her dress -Dad said she looks like a flying squirrel, so she went up to that rock and posed for me. :)
Little Miss Dolly.
She went on a long walk with me and Cousin Jordan.
Me and Jordan. (How dare he grow taller then me!) We had such a great time. He even got to come over to our house and stay the night for two whole nights! That was great. :) We rode the Go-Cart, played outside in the woods, drew dragons -sorta, talked, and talked, and then, talked some more!
And we played Xbox.
And I got him up early in the mornings.
To take care of chickens with me.
He's still a city-slicker, however. Though he did check the eggs at night!
:)
That's Quinn doing the bunny-ears in the picture -not me, I was kind and didn't. Though, I thought about doing bunny-ears.
Like my hat? And bandanna?
^-^
(Left to right.)
Grandpa, Grandma, Logan, Bryan, Megan, Brian, Aunt Susie, Ethan, Dolly, Mom, Dad, and Jordan.
I can't wait to see everybody again!
Ghost.
He's desperate.
He REALLY wants a bird.
After sitting outside by the baby chicks' cage for hours...he's stooped to this.
He learned it from Smokey, our fluffy gray kitty.
So far -he's yet to catch anything. I think the fat-cat in the bird-feeder is a little easy to spot.
We shall see. For now, it's a nice place to sit!
Guess what?
We -me, Quinn, and my Daddy -just got back from the Tractor Supply Co -AKA, the Tractor store.
Annnnd, you know, it's -supposedly -spring.
And you know what that means?
I'll-be-danged-adorable-baby-critters.
There was baby chickens, baby bunnies (you don't even wanna KNOW how cute they were -and baby ducks.
Baby ducks.
I immediately decided we needed more ducks.
Quinn agreed.
We begged. And begged.
It worked!
^-^
Dad broke down and let us get some of the cutest ducklings ever!
(We each bought one, see. It turns out, I owe Quinn two dollars.)
We brought home five, one for each of us girls.
This is Quinn's duck -she's named her -or him -Gavin.
(That's Indy's duck cheepin'.)
Willow's is the pale brown-ish duck.
Rose's duck is the quite, striped one.
This 'un-is mine.
His -her -name is Dragon.
I know, I know.
It's a duck.
Not a mythical critter with fire-breathing powers.
I know this. But, I don't really care.
Oh my goodness.
If Dragon isn't cute I don't know what is!
Thank you so much Dad! For letting us buy them!
The weather is continuing in its path of awesomeness!
It has been sunny and clear outside all day today!
Yeah!
I have a two things to say -
Firstly:
Guess who's staying under my wing again? -Dolly!
I don't have any pictures right now... in truth I've been rather lazy today, you see, I'm a bit sick, my Mom says it's allergies...but I don't know. All I know is I'm been feeling right bad today, and yesterday, for that matter, but worse today.
And secondly:
I finished Fire Bringer, two days ago, really; it was very good. As good as a book can be about deer!
And I've started Fell; I'm over half-way through, and it's quite good, though I would have named it something else! Fell -he's a wolf -really doesn't seem to be the main focus of the story!
That is all; see, nothing really new. Dolly so far today is doing good, she's been playing with Zelda half the time she's been here!
She really likes playing with Zelda.
That is all.
Over and out.
Guess what y'all? I think spring is finally here.
See those buds? My Mom's fruit trees are covered in them.
I took Mom's camera out; and I took a LOT of pictures, these ones I'm posting as a few of many.
My pretty frizzle hen -Snowflake.
My Mom had the door open, because Zeb was walking in and out -well, I found this little hen wandering around.
In our house.
It hasn't been the first time.
Remember Sparky? He's a handsome young feller now -he's left his mamma, sorta. He follows her around a little, but she doesn't look after him anymore.
You have no idea how long it took me to get that picture of him, I was chasing him all around the lot trying to get close enough to get a good picture. He's very camera shy. I wasn't even that close!
My silkie rooster Bunny.
In all his awesome fluffiness.
One of our young mixed-breed roosters.
I call him Fireblaze.
His brothers -Cody, a handsome white rooster; and a rooster that looks just like Fireblaze except that he's bigger, and has a beard. I call him Nightblaze.
The sunshine is just right for our dusting hens. They were slinging dirt all over!
(Bad picture, sorry!)
Our babies!
Remember little Diamond? She's got a wonderful buff color now.
Snowy. My precious rooster.
He's top rooster now -you can tell by his tail and his spurs, which are almost two inches long!
Hermione and Leia, my goats.
Leia likes the camera. She's a model.
Really!
I love her little beard.
Our lovely little polish hen.
^-^
My sweet, sweet dog.
At her most active moment.
Kinda.
Some wildflowers.
More flowers.
Dandelions!
The day has been very warm, with the sun, and all. :)
It's been awesome.
I took a walk with Zelda earlier, and I saw some interesting wild-critters: hawks, ducks, swallows....
I might actually write a little thing to describe that walk....
I'll let y'all know.
^-^
Over and out.
Hello, peoples!
Yes, I'm still alive, just hiding.
^-^
Have not had just a whole lot to post about, except, that my two younger sisters, Quinn and Indy, have both celebrated their birthdays.
Quinn has turned 12, and Indy has turned 10. Happy Birthday! Sorry I'm a bit late!
Things have been going good here, all of our animals are doing good, the baby chicks have gotten quite big, I'm going to take some pictures soon.
The weather has been terrible, rainy, old, rainy, windy, dark....
I just can't wait for the warm weather; the filling up chicken waterers five times a day weather, the mowing every week to two weeks weather....
In other news, I've finished all the last books I bought, the Fablehaven, and those....And I just got three new books in the mail yesterday morning. I got Fell, which is the sequel to The Sight, I forgot the author's name....
I also got Fire Bringer, which by that same author; I'm reading that one right now....
And I got a book by Claire Bell, called Ratha's Creature, the fire book of the Named. I've already finished that one, and it was very good, about big, wild cats.
All is well here.
Yesterday -my Dad bought the new Wii fit Plus thing for our Wii Fit, everybody has been playing it, though I have not yet tried it.
I JUST finished the Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary, it was really good -though i about died at the end.
The plot took a unexpected twist.
*Mumbles to self angrily.*
I'm going to start another book soon, just not yet. I'm going to play outside with Dolly, and I may jump on the trampoline a bit. It's fairly nice outside today.
I also want to say Happy Anniversary to my Mom and Dad :)
And many more....
*Imagines a singsong voice*
That is all.

Journee
Hello, hello.
I'd just like to say that I've finally drawn something with my new tablet -it's more of a doodle. But he's name is Viridus, if you'd like to see him -just visit my second Blog, 'Dragons: Fire and Fang'; it's in my Blog List.
The post there is also called 'Viridus'. So if you'd like to check it out...feel free!
All the best,

^-^
I finished the 473 page Fablehaven book -cough -last night! At exactly -cough -10:25 PM!
I started the next Fablehaven book -Secrets of the Dragon Sanctuary -this morning, and I'm almost half-way through! Though I've been taking care of my younger siblings and playing with my new tablet -which I got yesterday shortly after my books arrived.
The books are great, of course. The imagination the writer must have! I swear, it's amazing.
My tablet is pretty cool, also. But it's hard to use. It's going to take a lot of practice! I've played with it for around an hour today -and I think I've got the general idea of how to use it...hopefully I will finish a picture sometime, then I can post it -on one of my Blogs, at least!
^-^
Dolly is doing really good -she was pretty wild last night; there must have been at least two coyotes out in the woods hollering. Dolly bristled up and started howling. It was pretty darn funny -though it was also in the middle of the night...so that wasn't good.
The baby chicks are doing great, too. They are getting quite big -and also quite messy. Mom wishes the weather was warmer, that way we could move them outside from time to time to run around and play in a little pen.
Little Diamond has some pretty: whitish-buff colored feathers now. But, she still sleeps an awful lot. And is so cute! With her little beard and all.
^-^
Cody and Johnny are getting very VERY mischievous. I was holding Cody just a moment ago, trying to type the earlier parts of this post -and he got himself stuck between the couch cushions.
I used to hold them on my bed a lot; but now just doing that is hard. They have no fear! I have a small desk at the end of my bed with the dog treats, Norbert's crickets, and the rat food... I was on the ground one day, replacing their old cage bedding with new, and I noticed I hadn't seen the rats in a while; they had been running around my bed, occasionally peeking over the end to look at me....But they were nowhere in sight.
I got up and looked around; I found them hiding under my pillows munching on some rat cubes -apparently they figured out how to get into my animal-food stash on the desk.
Little varmints.
^-^
They are the greatest pets -so much personalty! I'm amazed all the time.
On a side-note: Johnny REALLY likes surgery cereal. And he likes milk. I figured that out today at breakfast.
Cortana is doing very nicely also. She plays a lot during the night now -and tries to sleep through the whole day. Either me or my Mom feed her while my Dad is at work -she love her special milk, but Mom and Dad say it's almost time to wean her.
Norbert -my precious bearded dragon is still sleeping for days at a time.
When he does come out, though -he begs to be fed. Which is one of the cutest things to watch -in my opinion. He'll stick his big pink tongue out to swipe at the glass of his cage. He eats a lot of the crickets I give him -then, he sleeps.
And sleeps.
Then poops.
Then sleeps again.
It's a hard life -really!
Don't you be fooled!

Yeah!

| Author:
My new books came in!
(Bottom to top.)
Fablehaven, book 2 -Rise of the Evening Star, by Brandon Mull.
Fablehaven, book 3, Grip of the Shadow Plague, by Brandon Mull.
Fablehaven, book 4, Secrets of the Dragon Slayer, by Brandon Mull.
Septimus Heap -Magyk -by Angie Sage.
And:
Seekers -Great Bear Lake, by Erin Hunter.
I'm not going to read the Seekers book, or the Rise of the Evening Star -Fablehaven book yet, I read both of them not real long ago. And can remember what happened. So I'll be starting the Grip of the Shadow Plague.
In exactly 3 minutes. It is 11:17 AM right now.
So, we'll just see how fast I can read these things.
^-^
What can I say?
The snow has fallen often this Winter
It is snowing.
I can't believe it.
And it's sticking....
I have my Civil Air Patrol meeting tonight -I'm beginning to wonder if it's going to be canceled...maybe the snow will be gone by then.
I'm also worried that my stuff I ordered won't come in! My tablet and books... they'd better. I really want to start trying to figure out my tablet! And I really want to read my books!
Heh.
It's a good thing snow is pretty to look it.
We've got nice big flakes here; they kind of float around before they fall....
I'm about to go take care of the animals.
It looks cold outside.
Maybe I'll ask Mom if I can take her camera...take some pictures....
Penna the quail passed away last night.
I buried her beside Stella and Sandy out by the Animal Cemetery we have on our property.
I don't know if she died because of me or not, I'm pretty upset about it. I wonder if maybe I should have kept her inside.
My parents said that it's possible that she had a bullet in her somewhere.
But I'm not sure. She seemed okay, maybe a little sick acting, but not much.
All I know is that we -or I, at least -will miss her.
Bye-bye, Penna!
Rest In Peace little one.
