Mystery eggs? I found four under the duck house: three are fairly large, and white. The fourth is a small brown.
I put them in a egg carton until I decide what to do with them. I'm contemplating hatching them, and seeing what they are. They appear to be chicken eggs---but maybe not?
On another note, we found the mallard hen dead today: killed by a owl, or hawk. It's pretty sad, really, but I guess it's a good thing we have four ducklings to replace her. I think I might actually be moving them outside today.
