Quack?

I found a duck egg from one of our mallard hens. And so, being the kind person I am I'm going to give the little thing a chance at life. It's going in the incubator right after I finish this post! I did some extra research on hatching duck eggs, and there isn't much difference between the incubation of a duck egg, and that of a chicken egg---except for time. A mallard egg will take 27-28 days to hatch, whist a chicken only requires 21 days. We'll see how everything goes! It'll be about seven days before I can tell for sure whether or not the egg is fertile, but so far it looks like it has a chance!
