Huzzah!

The water-sports trip went great; the people who took us out were super-nice, and the weather actually turned out to be pretty good!
We swapped between water-skiing, knee-boarding, and tubing. I've never done water-skiing (or knee-boarding) before, and let me tell you, it's a hard thing! I never could get up out of the water. In fact, nobody that hadn't done it before could do it---except for Timmy and John, who both got out there on the first try!
Not many of us did the knee-boarding; we left that to Riley, who was quite good at it. Apparently him, his sister, and the rest of their family goes out to that lake pretty often. They're good friends with the nice people who took us out on their boat. :)

The tubing was fantastic though. It was just amazing. We were able to pull two tubes at once, so sort of paired up each time before going out. I squashed poor little John once, though, when his tube flipped over, knocking into mine, and we both went into the water. I could feel him just crumbling under me, and he swears he could hear me laughing underwater. We got up, and took him back to the dock cause his back was hurting.
I kept apologizing. It was completely unintended.

After we took John back, I got to go out by myself, and it was super cool. We did all sorts of hard waves and sharp turns and I didn't fall off once! It was a proud moment, and I very enthusiastically thanked the boat driver and his wife for letting me go out again. It was super fun.

But besides the cold water, and all the falling and splashing, we also had a great time just visiting! Several cadets showed up, so we all waited for our turns on the dock and chatted for most of the day. We should have some pictures that I'll post whenever I get them!
