Guess what I woke up too this morning?

Cheep cheep

Some of the cutest chicks ever!
These beautiful babies came in just this morning, Mom got the call from the post-office, and she went to pick them up!
We have a bunch of Road Island Reds (the ones of the left,) and we have some White Leghorns, which we ordered for a friend -and we have some Cuckoo Marans, which are the black ones with white. And THEN we have some Aracaunas, which are the colored egg-layers -the green eggs, blue eggs....

This darlin' is an Aracuana.
And she is too cute to live.
Not really -we're letting her live.

We also got one rare-breed surprise chick. I've confirmed it to be a Star Spangled Hamburg.
It is he one with the gray head -right at the bottom of that picture above.
(More pictures coming, but right now the babies are very sleepy, and their heat lamp is interfering with the camara.)

Now -my Mom has said that we aren't supposed to claim chicks right now. But I have to say that Indy, Willow, Quinn, and Rose have already picked out which chick is 'theirs'.
Now I -normally pick the cutest one in the clutch -BUT, I'm not real worried about that this year because -they are all very cute, AND, I'm going to let one of my bantam hens sit again, to hatch some babies -then I'm going to take one (kind of evil -I know,) and keep it in my room!
Where it will forever be spoiled.
Until Mom and/or Dad tell me to take it back to the Chicken Lot.

Welcome home baby chickens!
