Well -we went to the movies last night.
Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief was a pretty good movie -I must say. It wasn't at all like the book, but then again, how many movies are like the book?
^-^
Willow, Rose, and my Mom all said that the Princess and the Frog was a good movie -much better then the advertisements make it seem.

I just got done taking care of the animals.
The chickens, Midnight my rabbit, and the three bantam roosters in the Nursery.

Dolly and Zelda have been out -they were chasing each other around the yard. Dolly is so quick! If she'd run in a straight line Zelda could get her (Zelda's pretty fast,) but Dolly zigzags so much!
They need to create barrel-racing for dogs. Dolly would be winner for sure!

It seems like Spring outside today -at least it does to me. The sun's shining, and the birds are singing their loud little songs of courtship.... In the areas were the shade of the pine trees grow the ground is covered in white frost, the puddles under the shadows are veiled in a thin layer of ice.
But where the sun shines the water is free and muddy -the puddles' banks patterned in the prints of little doggie paws.
The wind feels good too -not too cold, and very light.
The sky is clear -not overcast with blankets of snow-clouds.
It's pretty nice out today.
Cortana -Myrtle

The new squirrel's name has been confirmed. Her name is now Cortana -which is from Halo.
The in-game Cortana is an Artificial Intelligence thing. A little lady that is smart. As far as I know.
The squirrel Cortana is doing great! She's the sweetest thing.

This is a mermaid that Quinn drew -then water-colored by hand.
She told me to Blog on it -the mermaid's name is Myrtle.

This is Myrtle after Quinn scanned her and PhotoShopped her.
Very nice.
Today we're all going to the movies.
Momma is taking the younger kids to go see Princess and the Frog. And my Dad is taking me, Quinn, and i think Indy, to go see the Lightning Thief. (Percy Jackson, yeah!)

Pictures!

Apple -hmmmm.

Drinking her formula....
She still doesn't have a name -but, my Daddy's still thinking on it. It has to be just perfect for the perfect Flying Squirrel.

Dolly is still sitting pretty here at our house.
Today she's been barking an awful lot -at the trains (still not used to them, completely,) at Duke, at Arwen... but goodness knows she has fun doing it -her little tail just wags and wags some more! :)

Cody and Johnny have been allowed to run around my bed a lot lately -these are some pictures I just took of them... they've already gown so much!

Such handsome bucks.

So well groomed. Their whiskers are straight and full.

Hehe. I caught Master Chief during a cleaning session.

Cody -observing the bedroom.
(Those are Quinn's LEGOs in the background -for the record.)

The Newest Darling

This overly soft -amazingly cute, and little (LITTLE) thing is my Daddy's new critter.
She's a Southen Flying Squirrel -and is darn cute.

Look at her eyes! 0-0
We just got her today -she's eating well, and has drunk some formula.
She doesn't have a name yet, but my Dad is giving it serious thought.
^-^

She looks damp -but she's very soft and warm. She has a special pouch that Dad got her -it's called a 'bonding pouch'.
These squirrels need to bond to their owners, and they will. But since their nocternal -they need something safe to be carried around in.

Hench -the pouch.

^-^
More pictures -and a name -coming soon!
Dolly!
She got a little hair clip thing.
Hehe.

Awwww.
Johnny and Cody -eating a healthy, but special snack.

Hehe, ^-^ see the crumbs in Johnny's fur?
He really loves to eat -it's kind of hard to keep him away from Cody's feed.

Their very silly: they chatter all through the night -well -they did last night anyways...
Right now they are crawling all over the keyboard, I keep having to get them off!
They love to play on my bed, I just have to make sure Dolly is busy, and Zelda's in her kennel, and Cody and Johnny run all over the place!
Cody's the leader when it comes to searching the hidden corners of wherever they are, Johnny stays behind for some petting and kisses, then he runs off.

Sneaking around for the very last crumbs.
And exploring the edges of the table.

Cody -giving himself a very quick-pawed wash.

Dolly Update!

Dolly, so sweet, innocent, small.
She feasted on a few, BIG dog treats just a moment ago, we practiced all her tricks, and right now -as I type -she's munching on a chew treat.

She's been doing very good, hasn't peed of pooed in the house lately, (she did about five days ago, but that MAY have been my fault.)

She's played in the snow, played with Zelda, played with Duke.
She has been trying to sleep on my bed EVERY night, but I normally get up -put her in her own special little bed, and go back to sleep.
Though she always gets back on.
^-^
I think she misses her parents, (my grandpa and grandma) but she's getting along fine... she's always cheery, and acting as if we live to play with her! :) She's a sweet little dawg.

*Sigh,* Anyway...

I overcooked the cookies.
I swear Rose is trying to say the same thing with increasing volume at the exact second of every minute.
Also -Duke doesn't understand a firm smack on the butt and a loud 'no'.
In other words -things are a little hectic here -but I just put in Monster's VS Aliens, and we're all watching that.
It's an interesting movie -pretty good, but not my favorite. :)
I liked Kung Fu Panda, that was pretty good. I've seen it several times. :)
Anyway... ah, yeah the cookies -not very good. But Zeb likes them!

Today -

The snow is still here! And it's still fluffy!
We went out and sledded on boxes for a little while this morning -well, I didn't, I sledded down the hill in a wagon, just once, then I came inside.
I'd seen enough -I play in the snow some when I take care of chickens, and it's cold out there!

Cody and Johnny are doing great, they are so playful RIGHT when I'm going to bed, I'll hold them, and they'll run around. They sleep pretty good during the night, and don't make much noise at all.
(Compared to Quinn's rat, Peach.)
Cody is not very shy anymore, now he's the more playful one! Master Chief -Johnny -has already gained weight, I think he takes his brother's share of the food.
^-^
Their very silly little things. I love them to death!

Norbert is doing great too! His eyes open when he's ready to eat, but he's been sleeping most of the time, because it's so cold.
But I'll take him out and I'll hold him -tell him how handsome he is, and stroke his scales.
I don't bring him downstairs much anymore because one time I was walking down the stairs and he was on my shoulder, he only had one eye open at the time -and he walked straight off my shoulder, I managed to get him to fall onto my hands, but he just about gave me a heart-attack. So now, if I do take him downstairs, I hold him flat against my chest. He had better NOT do that again.
Now -I've had a long talk with him, (weird I know,) but he just doesn't understand that he is a Bearded Dragon, not a Flying Lizard.
And, he has eye trouble, half the time he's blind!
Goofy thing.
^-^

Dolly is doing great -as always. She was something else last night, trying to get under my covers. (It was COLD in my room!)
I even put her nice, warm blanket on Zelda's dog-bed, (because Zelda was in her crate,) and she got down there and lay down for a while, but that didn't last long!

The chickens are doing fine too -they don't like all the snow, so they stay in their coops most of the time.
My goats really DON"T LIKE THE SNOW!
They only come out of their coop to get a quick drink and to eat in the morning. Which is a shame because they are so cute this time of year, with their winter coats, and all.
