Named after a Spartan from Halo -is quite fast -and so is Cody.
Now to compare the Spartan and Rat:

She still doesn't have a name -but, my Daddy's still thinking on it. It has to be just perfect for the perfect Flying Squirrel.
Dolly is still sitting pretty here at our house.
Today she's been barking an awful lot -at the trains (still not used to them, completely,) at Duke, at Arwen... but goodness knows she has fun doing it -her little tail just wags and wags some more! :)
Cody and Johnny have been allowed to run around my bed a lot lately -these are some pictures I just took of them... they've already gown so much!

Their very silly: they chatter all through the night -well -they did last night anyways...
Right now they are crawling all over the keyboard, I keep having to get them off!
They love to play on my bed, I just have to make sure Dolly is busy, and Zelda's in her kennel, and Cody and Johnny run all over the place!
Cody's the leader when it comes to searching the hidden corners of wherever they are, Johnny stays behind for some petting and kisses, then he runs off.

She practiced all her tricks today -the picture above shows her shaking, she was a bit disappointed about that lack of a treat -but she got lots of praise.
She's been a very good dog -she's eating well, and not being bad.
Oooooh, she's a good girlie.
I just thought to post this picture -Quinn's gone LEGO crazy.
And when she goes LEGO crazy -she thinks I'm supposed to go LEGO crazy and build a city.
She's been bugging me for three days now -and counting :)
Cody and Johnny are doing great, they like their hammock -and love their nest-box.
They were very tired yesterday, sleeping in my pockets and under my shirt.
But last night (rats being partly nocturnal) they ran all around their cage, pooped on everything, drank half their water, and chewed on their nest-box.
I think they've finally settled in. :)
Today why I was doing school I held them both -gave them some cheese, and let them run in and out of my pockets, then sleep up my sleeve for a little while, then they'd climb onto the table and would run around, sniffing everything.

They are so soft and cute. And they have great personalities!
Cody is the shy one of the two, he tends to hide a little more often -but I think he'll get used to everything soon.
Master Chief is a clean freak. He stops to wash himself every five minutes.
Take THAT people who think rats are dirty!
This is the first time I've seen them both in their hammock. But they seem to like it! Which is good. They have a second one -which is a bit more durable, but they haven't really figured it out yet.
But they know how to get on it -I know because I put a little piece of cheese on it; then left the room for three minutes, and it was GONE!

Aren't they just full adorableness?
They are pretty worn out, and I just put them in their cage so they can explore...
They are sooo soft and fluffy, and they are so little -just tiny little babies.
The brown one (agouti veriberk) is named Master Chief, AKA Johnny.
If you've ever played Halo -then you know who Master Chief is, and John is his 'real' name.
The little gray-blue one (Russian blue bareback), is Cody. He's a little shy... but very, very soft!
Many thanks to the Kitts family for picking up these beautiful critters and bringing them to my house, :) and for taking care of them on the trip here, they are doing very well!
And of course, many thanks to the Breeder -Lee -for letting me buy these cuties from her, and for giving me much advice on how to care for them!
And MANY thanks to my Mom and Dad for letting me get both of them, despite the fact that they are boys. And I'm going to need a permit soon. ;)

They are very cute, huh? The brown one is a Agouti (wild rat color) Veriberk.
A Berkshire rat is a solid colored rat with a white belly and normally white paws and a white tail tip. The belly marking is supposed to be wide and evenly edged, but they are normally not.
Veriberk (like mine, yeah!) are like the Berkshire, only they have irregular white belly markings that may come up the sides of the rat.
The mostly white rat with kinda a blue/gray head is called a Russian Blue Bareback. The blue coloring on his head is the -you know -Russian Blue. Then his markings are Bareback: a hood on a white rat that covers the head and shoulders only.
I hope to get them soon. The Breeder says they won't be able to go until around 6-7 weeks because these pups are so much smaller then the others in other litters.
