Guess what hatched yesterday?

It is one of the cutest things.
It started hatching yesterday morning, but didn't get out until late afternoon, then, throughout the rest of the day it was so sleepy -hatching is hard work! -So, I haven't taken any pictures until this morning. :)
I've named her Dr. Catharine Halsey.
I say 'her' but with my luck, it's probably male.
Anyways, so the little duckling -Cathy -and her Momma just got moved into a pen outside.
Can't you just see the resemblance?
Cathy is doing good -the only problem with her is her legs; their a little splayed. She has a bit of trouble walking, though, as long as nothing is wrong internally, she'll probably out-grow it.
She's a very cute little thing, I'll give her that much. And her Momma takes good care of her.

But, no, really: Master Chief.
Named after a Spartan from Halo -is quite fast -and so is Cody.
Now to compare the Spartan and Rat:

This -is a Halo 3 picture.
For those of you who don't know -Halo is one of the greatest video games ever.
It's right up there with Pokemon, Zelda, and Mario for goodness sakes!
The person is called a Spartan.
In the Halo missions -the main Spartan awesome-hero-guy is called Master Chief.
Actually, it's something like:
Master Chief Petty Officer John 117.
(I think that's it)
The thing the Spartan dude is riding is called a Ghost.
And is one of my favorite in-game vehicles.
Most of the time when you play online -
it's Blue VS Red.
And I like this picture.
But -I'd like to know if the red one (the one being pelted by the rifle) is my Dad or not... I think the blue one is him, though. Because he normally wears that kind of helmet....
