What more can I say?
^-^
He's a sleepy boy.
This is Alexandra
Jellybean's third baby.
^-^
She is a very curious chick. Despite the fact that she only hatched a while ago; and should be tired. You should have seen her peering over the edge of the nest-box, looking down at all the other birds.
I'm thinking that her real momma is a Barred Rock hen. Because Alex looks a lot like a Barred Rock, and she was hatched from a dark brown egg....
The other babies are doing good also. All the chicks are drinking/eating whatever feed I give their Momma; because she still won't get off the nest. She still has two eggs left! And one is crackin' good now, I can see the beak poking out of the egg....
Jellybean, Little Storm, Alex, and Ember!
Woot!

My bantam hen Jellybean's thrid egg has hatched! The little bird isn't quite dry yet; but when she is I'll post some pictures!
AND Jellybean's fourth egg is cracking! :)
Yeah!
^-^
I have a few more pictures of Catharine!
Isn't she so cute?
Lately she's been hanging out by the little waterer I have in her pen a lot...she may have been hatched by a chicken but, by thunder, she's a duck through and through!
^-^
The second of Jellybean's five eggs has hatched!
Meet Little Storm
Isn't she just so pretty? :)
She's bit wilder then her sister Ember; ooo, but doesn't she have beautiful markings?
When we get Gamechicks they always have those marking, 'cept they're brown...I wonder what Little Storm's a cross of...

Welcome to the world young 'un!

If you get up early enough in the morning, when the ground is still wet with dew; you'll find these tiny little spider webs.
I never can find them during the day. But in the morning, especially in the fall....
I decided to take some pictures...'cause I thought they were kind of pretty.
Then, I took a picture of, guess what: a dandelion!
Not a super good picture -because it was in the shadows, but....
Ah well!

Last night one of Jellybean's five eggs hatched.
This is Ember.
She's doing very well, and is walking around next to her Momma in the nest. I'll be going outside several times today to make sure she hasn't fallen out.
She's very sweet, and fairly quiet, unlike some chicks.
And she's very soft.
Very,
very,
very,
very soft.

Welcome to the world young 'un!
Guess what hatched yesterday?
Our Gamehen's baby duckling!
It is one of the cutest things.
It started hatching yesterday morning, but didn't get out until late afternoon, then, throughout the rest of the day it was so sleepy -hatching is hard work! -So, I haven't taken any pictures until this morning. :)
I've named her Dr. Catharine Halsey.
I say 'her' but with my luck, it's probably male.
Anyways, so the little duckling -Cathy -and her Momma just got moved into a pen outside.
Can't you just see the resemblance?
Cathy is doing good -the only problem with her is her legs; their a little splayed. She has a bit of trouble walking, though, as long as nothing is wrong internally, she'll probably out-grow it.
She's a very cute little thing, I'll give her that much. And her Momma takes good care of her.
^-^
The pigeon Luke wasn't very interested in all this.
He's just jealous.
I just had to post them....
^-^
Too darn funny.
