I've candled the eggs in my incubator, and so far as I can tell---they are all fertile, except for a couple of the ones from the Lake, which are hard to tell for sure.

I'm very pleased, and if all goes well with this hatch, I plan on seeing if I can get some lavender ameraucana (I'm quite happy I've finally figured out how to spell that) bantam eggs. I'll order a dozen, but I might just get six lavender eggs, and six BBS, but I don't know.  I do like the lavender.

The breeder I found is very good, and has show-quality birds, and great shipping prices. It'd be $35 dollars including shipping for a dozen eggs, which is great.

Jordan, I think you've grown a bit in a year's time!
These pictures were all from 2010. Goodness, I look like a redneck, and Jordan! I think you're blending in a bit.

My grandma's out of town with Jill, and so Dolly gets to stay at our house for a week, and maybe a bit longer.

She quickly found her favorite beaver dog-toy.

Sleepy Babies

I made a new brooder for my babies today, since they have grown already, and were acting quite wild. They ran around, danced, flapped, scratched, and then....crashed, sound asleep for the most part.

The brooder is a little silly looking, but it works great, and the birds like it.

Old Pictures

A mere few of a bunch of old pictures I found...me and Quinn (mostly me, in some cases,) got a kick out of them.

2002.

Gosh, try not to stare directly at my forehead.... Lol.
But you see, the grass-eating started young, these are all from 2002! We didn't even live on our property then. Lol.

~

Not real sure what year these two pictures were taken...but we had only recently moved in---maybe been here around a year? The picture above is of Butterscotch and Chip. The one below of is Quinn with her Luke Skywalker hair.

Above, that's Indy...she'd, uh, just woken up. It stands in my heart as one of the funniest pictures of all time. Lol.

And below, that's Jordan when we were camping in Arkansas.

~

Around the time before we joined CAP, that'd be Chris and Andrew. They were posing for the pictures, too, by the way.

Above, my sweet little Norbert getting his first bath, and below, beloved Butterscotch, looking very soft.

Willow and Rose all dressed up. :)

Below, Halloween 2005. Guess who was Vader.

Lol.

Update---With Pictures
2/17/2011 | Author:
These last few days we've done a lot of running around outside in the woods, climbing, and jumping over things. I, naturally, did you immature thing and put of "warpaint" everyday, to blend into the undergrowth, as I put it. It's a mixture of soot, mud, and whatever feathers and leaves make themselves present at the time. I've pretty much spent my time walking around with chicken poop on my shirt, mud on my jeans, looking like a redneck Avatar from backwoods Pandora.

It's quite entertaining, actually, though I had to ditch the cowboy boots today because my dad's friend was coming over, and I'm not supposed to wear boots with cutoffs. ^^

We've also been taking turns with the walkie-talkies, or the "talkers" as I kept telling Quinn.
I've been going around, calling myself "Radio Star (Video Will Kill Me)" and using my, radio-voice.

Yeah Jordan, name that Psych. I'll give you a hint, it has a Snickers bar in it. ;)

The chickens have been doing alright, though we've lost two standards (a silver-laced wyandotte, and a partridge rock,) both to apparent weakness. We've put antibiotics in their water, and they seem to be doing fine. My blue silkie (roo?) Bluebird also died, very suddenly, actually---to I think the same thing.

I've been spoiling my chicks, and getting them out to place and be held. They are all very rotten. ^^

And I now have 16 eggs in my bator! Gran and Pa brought down a dozen from Uncle Kirk for me to incubate. Ought to be interesting. :) Now I'm just bidding time, still got a long ways before lock-down.

So, here are some pictures!

Bet you can't guess you to that picture. *Twiddles thumbs*

 "Ho-ho-ho!"
Explanation.

It was in a Spongebob episode, when Mr. Krabs made Spongebob (and Patrick) dig a wishing well, so he could greedily collect the money through in. Patrick and Spongebob got stuck in there (Spongebob was told it was his new job to stay down there---a promotion, as his boss said,) and they kept begging Squidward to come in too. After a bit, Squidward ends up falling in, and after a while, scolds Patrick for standing too close---it made him claustrophobic. Here's the quote:

Squidward: *Raises eyebrow and glares at Patrick* "Could you not stand so close? You're making me claustrophobic."
Patrick: "What's that mean?"
Spongebob: *Nearly gasps* "It means he's scared of Santa!"
Patrick: *Raises arms and starts taunting Squidward* "Ho-ho-hooooo!"
*Squidward grumbles*
Spongebob: *Panic* "Stop Patrick! You're scaring him!"
Patrick: "Ho-ho-ho!!!!!"
Squidward: "It's not working, Patrick...."
Patrick: "Darn..."
~

Yeah, I've got it all memorized.

Me laughing...all my extra chins lined up...I swear.

It's a dalmatian!

Least that's what I thought it looked like. Or maybe it's a white field, studded with one big black gem....get it Kayleigh? Remember that painting of yours? Lol.
~

My handsome boy, Snowy, who went with me to greet both some of our family's friends, and the UPS man, who looked like he really hadn't seen worse. Me with all my warpaint, feathers, and rooster---you see.

I think he was afraid. Maybe. A bit. Slightly shaken---I don't know.
