Update!

Okay, so here goes:

1: Tonight is Civil Air Patrol -yeah! :)
2: We have lost three birds in the last five days. That's one baby chicken, a baby duck, and a full-grown duck, which was killed just last night.
My bet is that It's a Great-Horned owl. Because, you know, being Sherlock Holmes's greatest fan I have deducted that there are no feather-trails, which means that the duck wasn't dragged over a fence...like it would have been if it was killed by a coon, etc. But there was a kill sight...I don't know. Them ducks are huge. Even an owl would have a hard time flying off with one. But that's what I think happened.
3: I've been bringing the youngest duckling Cathy into my room overnight because her crazy Momma won't sit on her. And it's been getting mighty cool out lately.
Catherine likes me now. :)
4: My dog has been very whiny lately.
5: I'm babysitting my friend's two ratties. So that makes five rats in my bedroom. :)
6: I have listened to Rascal Flatts without rest for the past two days, and Trace Adkins for the past three. Lol.
7: We are going swimming at my Grandparent's lake Thursday with the Brauds! Yeah! It's going to be fun; luckily it's supposed to be sunny. :)
8: I mowed the yard the day before yesterday, (or the day before that, I have an awful sense of time.) And now my farmer's tan is even darker/longer. Lol. It takes about 4 long hours to mow our yard. :)
9: I did a funny dance yesterday -do not ask!
10: Back to the swimming on Thursday thing -I'm bound and determined to push all the Brauds in.
(Be warned, boys!)

I'm going to take some more pictures of her soon; these are just some I got real quick while taking pictures of flowers.
So, stay tuned.
Lol.

I like taking pictures of Ghost.

He's such a pretty kitty; and he poses well.

Have you ever really looked into a cat's eye? They are so beautiful.

Sweet little Ghost.

^-^

Our friend Annais came over to stay the night yesterday, and left a few hours ago.
We had a great time!

WE don't see her -or her family -often. And it was great playing and talking with her; though our conversations sometimes got a little random.
When I say a little, I mean, there was point when we were talking about mashed potatoes and pickles.
I know -we are weird.
Lol.
^-^

But really; we took walks along our property and played a bunch of games.
It was, in short, really fun. And I hope she can come over again soon!

"Oooooooo."
*Dramatic music*

Flowers
5/08/2010 | Author:
Over the last two days I have taken several pictures of the flowers that grow on our property.

Like, clover.

These purple/pink wildflowers.

And these.

I took that picture this morning.

Okay, so this isn't really a 'wildflower', but, hey, work with me.
^-^

I like this one; though I'm not sure what it is called....

Anyways:

We went up to my Grandparents' lake.
We swam, swam, swam, and drank soda!
And ate yummy sandwiches.
And cookies.

I learned how to drive/operate my Grandpa's old 4-Wheeler, which was awesome!
I had a great time!

I also got a reminded on how to drive my Grandma's Mule. (The vehicle, not the critter. :)) That was fun too!

I also *cough* ate a minnow that I caught with my hands!
I'm dead serious.
Actually, me, Quinn, and my cousins Sierra and Garrett, Willow, and Indy all ate one. The latter three caught theirs with nets.
But me, Quinn, and Sierra all caught ours with our hands.
Lol.

Quinn got a little wusy on me and Sierra; she washed her's down with a Dr. Pepper.
An Ironman Dr.Pepper.

In other words, I'm quite tired today. All that eating live fish and swimming is hard work!
Though I must say, that you can't taste the minnows...I still don't like seafood!

Behold!

This is Pippa.
Jellybean's fourth -and last -chick.

She's a cutie.
^-^

Sadly; Jellybean's last egg -her fifth, was rotted yesterday, and I had to toss it out.
However, my little bantam hen has four beautful chicks.
That my Momma won't let me take inside.

Little Storm really wants me to be her Momma.
She told me.

Jellybean is quite pleased with her babies. And I think that maybe she's on my Mom's side; and doesn't want me to take one of her chicks.
*Makes a sad face*

Her and her babies are now in a drop-pen outside; they really like it!
And I'm glad.
^-^

Luke is still jealous.

Look how offended he is!

In other news;
I held Dragon today.
(My duck)
You haven't held a critter until you've held a duck.
They are fat, soft, and wet.
And they squirm.
And make a lot of noise.
But they still...make up for it...with their softness and fatness.
Lol.
^-^

Dragon has gotten very big -especially when I hold Cathy and compare them....
A Morning Walk
5/05/2010 | Author:
I went on a short walk with Zelda this morning after taking care of the critters.
I took pictures! Surprise!

Ahhhh!

I just couldn't do without a dandelion picture....

Lucky me!
A four-leaf clover! Actually, I found about five of these today...all in the same patch.

Another spiderweb/dewdrop thingy....

 Hay!
Wooo!
